Biden Ends Reelection Bid, Endorses Harris for 2024

In a post on X, Biden announced he would remain president until January 2025 and endorsed Vice-President Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate. This makes Harris the first Black woman to lead a major-party ticket. Biden emphasized party unity to defeat Trump in 2024. This marks the first time in over 50 years an incumbent president has withdrawn from the race.
